Gallery: Black Boy Fly

In the fifth grade, I couldn’t help but count down every waking moment until lunch. Six children including myself would huddle around a cafeteria table with a forearm deep in a brown paper lunch sack, and the meanest 10-year-old poker face. After a few moments of collective silence, we all revealed our top-tier lunch snack to the masses which then prompted each child to take a moment for themselves to calculate their next move. I knew it would be rough but I was determined to flip this oatmeal cream-pie for Wesley’s Gushers or Aaron’s Kool-Aid Jammer. Now watch this Black Boy Fly.
